Mike Vialpando Jr.

7/7/54-12/23/17

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, love honestly, laugh easy, keep it simple, ride often, ride a Harley, don’t be afraid of the wind in your face and a lot of muscle between your legs.  Drink a beer but only if you have an extra one for family and friends.  Just ride and leave it all behind because it’s all about the journey and not the destination-unless that destination is Heaven.  Mike was a brave man and he was a warrior to the end.  He took his last breath with all of his nearest and dearest with him laughing, crying and holding his hand.  He was deeply loved and will be missed greatly.  God called a great man home to his kingdom in Heaven and he welcomed him with open arms.  Mike was more that a husband, he was a soul mate.  He and his beloved wife Yolanda have three girls and three good men who are like sons; Gabrielle Anzures and Michael Saiz, Stephanie and Jeremy Trujeque, and Nicole and Jaime Andujo.  Mike and his wife Yolanda also have seven grandchildren who called him Papa; Joseph Vialpando, Katelyn Vialpando, Jenesis Trujeque, Jeremy Trujeque Jr., Oralia  Trujeque, Jaime Luis Victoriano Andujo, and Abigail Andujo.  His family was the joy in his life and the light in his smile.  Mike is preceded in death by his father Michael Vialpando Sr.; his mother Oralia Vialpando; and his grandson Jaime Luis Victoriano Andujo.

Services for Michael Vialpando will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 2:00pm until 4:00 pm at Riverside Funeral Home Los Lunas Chapel located at 820 Main St. NE in Los Lunas, NM 87031.  A Reception will follow the services at the Elks Lodge at 19513 NM 314, Belen, NM 87002.

Dear Vialpando Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Times like this can be very difficult to deal with. At times, you may feel like there is no one to turn to. You may even feel like no one understands your pain. But there is one person we can turn to that can help us through all of our trials. Yes, God can help you during this difficult time. Pray to him constantly and he will help you. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4 Isa. 26:19)

So grateful to have known Mike, even if for a short time. I'm sure he'll have a lot more to share when I see him in heaven. God's grace upon you all and the love of Christ Jesus, Joel
