Gloria A. Martinez
July 04, 1946 -- October 27, 2017

Gloria A. Martinez, age 71, of Taos, NM passed away on Friday October 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.  She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ted; her children: Wendy Harmon (Craig), Wanda Walsh (Thom), Tami (Jose Lovato), Teddy, and Zachary Martinez; brothers: Eloy (Rose) and Johnny (Juanita) Martinez; sisters: Connie (Ted) Anaya and Dolores (Fred) Peralta, & four grandchildren: Tiffany Martinez (Mitch Dennis), Mira Harmon, Christopher Walsh, and Grace Harmon. She is preceded in death by her Parents: Selso & Cordelia Martinez, Sisters Francella McGinnis & Frances “Pancha” Reynolds. 

A wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Gloria was a beautiful soul. Her love for her family and friends held no bounds. Anyone who was touched by her presence was blessed with her kindness, love of nature, and giving personality. She instilled in her children, her independent spirit, creativity, and caring personality. She touched so many of us in a personal individual way. She will never be forgotten and will always be with all of us in so many ways. She may have left our presence but will always be in our hearts and memories. Every time you see a flower, a lamb, a mountain scene, she is in that memory and will forever be with us. Gloria will be remembered for her graciousness, her beauty, being a great mother & grandmother, incredible gardener, and lover of art. 

Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 8 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos, NM.  Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 12 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, a reception gathering will be held at Llano Quemado Center following the funeral mass & burial.
