Obituary of Kwang Cha Curtis

Kwang Cha Curtis passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2024.  She was 78 years old, and she valiantly fought chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) for over 20 years.

Kwang is survived by her two daughters (Barbara Doyle and Susan Cranmore), their husbands (Joshua Doyle and John Cranmore), and six grandchildren (Kayla Doyle, Brandon Tafoya, Max Tafoya, Amber Doyle, Megan Doyle, and Thomas Doyle).

Kwang was born on June 11, 1945, to Ki Jun and Pan Rye Kim (both deceased).  She grew up in Iksan, South Korea, and was one of seven children.  Her four brothers are Dea Hyun Kim (deceased), Dea Chun Kim (deceased), Dea Suk Kim, and Dea Ho Kim (deceased). Kwang’s two sisters are Kyong Cha Kim and Kyong Suk Kim Felts.  Kwang’s youngest sister, Kyong Suk, immigrated to the United States with her in 1975 and currently lives in Abilene, Texas with her husband Ricky Felts. Many of Kwang’s siblings and their families still live in Iksan, South Korea.  Kyong Cha lives with her family in Seoul, South Korea.

Kwang was a Godly woman who loved our Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart.  She left a legacy to her family of God’s amazing love and grace and was an example to all who knew her.  We look forward to the day we will be reunited with her in Heaven.
