Obituary of Rita Lucero

On Wednesday March 13, 2024 Rita Lucero, beloved wife and mother of three children passed away.

Rita was born in Chamberino NM to Jose and Magdalena Provencio.  On September 1, 1956 she married her life partner Joe F. Lucero.  They traveled to Japan where they welcomed their son Lawrence.  The USAF took them to Elgin AFB where they welcomed daughters Rosanna and Juliette.  They settled in Albuquerque in 1970 when Joe retired from the USAF.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and siblings and her beloved husband Joe and her son Lawrence and her daughter Juliette.  She is survived by her daughter Rosanna(Michael) Torrez, granddaughter Lauren( Daniel)  Lefthand and grandson Mark Torrez and one great-granddaughter Eliana Lefthand.

A private family celebration of life will be held Friday the 29th of March 2025 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
